Ari Vais - Winter Wonderland
Myspace
In
late May of 2002, Ari Vais released this 17-song album of his pop/rock numbers,
past and present.
The record includes such works as "Beautiful Lesbian" and "My Siamese Twin" from the early Humbert days, all five Vais compositions from the doomed-but-wonderful never-released Humbert swan-song "The Insomniac's Almanac," acoustic and electric songs produced and performed with Fountains Of Wayne's Chris Collingwood, as well as a creamy Fender Rhodes and vocal rendition of the Billie Holliday classic,"God Bless The Child."
Now belligerent, now tender, "Winter Wonderland" never stops being surprising, the hooks never cease to be omnipresent. This is an intelligent pop rock album for intelligent listeners.
