BEACH HONEY
ABOUT

Beach Honey is Annie, Jason, Mike, and Josh.
Their debut comes in the form of a four song cassingle called Roll On, Beach Honey.
"Initially these versions were just for the sake of making demos for some songs by Mike & I, but we wound up liking them in their home recording form. Now, I don’t wish to call this stuff “lo-fi" because there’s certainly some nice harmony and arrangement throughout. I can’t really call it “hi-fi" either because of the basher style in which we tracked. For the sake of classification, let’s call this sound “J-fi".
Before the gang would show up for these informal sessions, I would tend to put on Wild Honey by the Beach Boys. I think that’s the perfect recording in a lot of ways in its loose and simplistic (with sprinklings of studio magic) nature. Rough around the edges for sure. These were the production values I was going for on Roll On, Beach Honey. I hope you dig it."
